1.1 Can you create custom canvas shoe designs that match my brand's unique style?
Yes. Send sketches, a tech pack or a competitor sample, and our design team turns it into a canvas spec: 10–12 oz canvas weight, sole type, lining and trim. You get 3D renders in about 5 days and a physical counter sample in 10–15 days. Your logo can sit on the tongue, heel and insole.
1.2 Do you offer private label services for canvas sneakers and espadrilles?
Yes. Private label covers logo placement on the tongue, heel tag, insole, polybag and box, plus your own hangtag and carton marks. There is no extra tooling fee when the style comes from our existing canvas footwear library. Most EU and North American clients start with one or two styles, then add colourways once the first drop sells.
1.3 How flexible are you with modifying existing popular canvas shoe models?
We can modify a running model instead of starting from a new last: change the sole pattern, swap in organic cotton canvas, adjust the collar height or deepen the toe box. Tooling edits on an existing pattern usually add 5–7 days to sampling, and you keep the cost benefit of a proven construction.
1.4 Can you help us develop a complete seasonal collection of canvas shoes?
Yes. We build a seasonal range around a colour-and-style matrix: plimsolls, high-tops, mid-tops and slip-ons, usually 8–14 styles per drop. Trend input comes from ISPO in January and July. You approve the matrix, then we sample the top three styles first so you can test fit before committing to the full canvas range.
1.5 Is it possible to use sustainable materials like recycled canvas for our orders?
Yes. We hold GRS certification and can source recycled canvas, rPET lining and recycled rubber soles. Organic cotton and water-based adhesives are also available. We document the recycled content of each component so your sustainability claim holds up with EU and US buyers and their compliance teams. We can also supply a test report on the recycled content if your buyer asks.
2.1 How long does it take to receive a sample of our custom canvas shoes?
10–25 days depending on complexity. A colourway change on an existing canvas pattern takes about 10 days; a new last plus a new printed upper runs closer to 25. We confirm the timeline within 24 hours of receiving your tech pack, and the sample fee comes off your bulk invoice.
2.2 Can I request multiple rounds of sampling if the first one isn't perfect?
Yes, three rounds of revision are included in the sample fee. We adjust fit, print colour and sole bonding until the counter sample matches your spec. Bulk does not start until you sign off on the physical sample, so the approved pair becomes the benchmark for the whole run. That signed sample is stored in our QC room for the length of the run.
2.3 What information do you need from me to start making a sample?
A tech pack or a sketch, the material you want, your target retail price, annual volume and target ship date. If you only have reference photos, our team can write the tech pack for you. The more detail on canvas weight and sole type you give upfront, the closer the first sample will be.
2.4 Do you charge for samples and can the cost be refunded later?
We charge a sample fee to cover materials and labour, and deduct it in full from your bulk order invoice once production starts. The fee depends on how many materials have to be sourced. If the style never goes to bulk, the fee stands, but there is no separate development charge.
2.5 Can you ship samples directly to our office in Europe or the US?
Yes. Samples go by DHL or FedEx to EU, US and other destinations, usually 3–5 working days in transit. We handle the export paperwork and commercial invoice. Give us your address, plus your courier account number if you have one, and we send tracking the day the parcel leaves. Sample freight is billed at cost, with no handling markup.
3.1 What is your minimum order quantity for custom canvas shoes?
MOQ starts at 800 pairs per style, colour and size run. Printed canvases and new soles can push the floor higher because of material minimums. Tell us your target price and order size and we come back with the lowest workable quantity for that style. Lead time for a first canvas order is 45-60 days after sample approval.
3.2 Can I mix different styles or colors in one order to test the market?
Yes. You can mix styles, colours and sizes in one order, which suits boutique brands testing a wider range without holding deep stock. We build the production schedule around your mix and confirm the total pair count before booking. Mixed orders usually add 3–5 days compared with a single-colour run.
3.3 Do you support small batch orders for new designer brands?
Yes. We take 800-pair trial runs aimed at new designer labels, using stock canvas and existing lasts to hold the cost down. Once the style proves out, reorders run on the same line at higher volume with the same QC gates. There is no penalty for staying small in year one.
3.4 How do you handle rush orders if we need shoes for a specific season?
Rush orders are possible for repeat styles where canvas, soles and lasts are already on hand. New styles under 45 days are usually not feasible. Tell us your season deadline as early as possible and we confirm whether a production slot can be held; we would rather say no at booking than miss the ship date.
3.5 Is there a different MOQ for stock items versus fully custom designs?
Yes, ready stock styles have a lower MOQ than fully custom designs, because no new material order or tooling is needed. If you need a quick turnaround, ask for the current stock list and we add your logo by embroidery or heat transfer. Custom prints still need 800 pairs to cover the print setup. 4.1 Are your canvas shoes compliant with EU and US safety regulations?
Yes. Canvas, rubber, laces, adhesives and inks are tested to REACH and CPSIA limits for the EU and US markets. Every batch ships with test reports on the materials used. If your buyer needs a specific substance test, we can arrange it through SGS or Intertek before shipment. Reports are kept for five years in case your buyer re-checks them.
4.2 Do you hold certifications like BSCI or GRS for ethical manufacturing?
Yes. We hold BSCI social compliance and GRS certification for recycled content, plus ISO 9001. The BSCI audit is valid through 2026. Audit reports are available on request under NDA, so your compliance team can review them before you place a bulk order. The GRS scope covers our recycled canvas, lining and rubber suppliers.
4.3 How do you ensure consistent quality across large production runs?
Three QC stages: inline inspection as the line runs, a mid-production check at the lasting stage, and a final AQL 2.5 audit before cartons are sealed. We check stitch density, sole bonding, print registration and colour against the approved sample. QC reports go to you before shipment for sign-off. Any batch that fails the audit is reworked or re-run before it ships.
4.4 Can you provide third-party inspection reports before shipping?
Yes. SGS, Intertek, BV and buyer-nominated inspectors are welcome at any stage. We give inspectors access to the line and the finished-goods warehouse, and provide the tech pack and approved sample for comparison. Third-party inspection is scheduled at least 7 days before the loading date. We also keep the inspection report on file for your next reorder.
4.5 What happens if there is a quality issue with the received goods?
We investigate any claim with photos within 48 hours. Confirmed manufacturing defects are credited, replaced or repaired at our cost. Over the last 12 months our defect rate has been 0.3%. We log the root cause and adjust the process so the same fault does not repeat on your reorder.
5.1 How is the price for custom canvas shoes calculated?
Price depends on canvas weight, print method, sole type (cold cement or vulcanized), order quantity and packaging. Higher volumes and simpler prints lower the unit cost; recycled canvas and custom moulds raise it. Send your spec and we return a costed FOB Xiamen quote within 24 hours. We can also quote CIF or DDP if you prefer a landed price.
5.2 Do you offer better pricing for long-term partnership contracts?
Yes. Clients who commit to recurring seasonal orders get tiered pricing and a rate locked for the season. We pass on the saving from better material planning rather than keeping it. Give us your annual forecast and we structure the price breaks around it. Forecasts are treated as confidential and never shared with other buyers.
5.3 What payment methods do you accept for international orders?
T/T as standard: 30% deposit, 70% against the B/L copy. L/C at sight is available for orders above USD 100,000 and for repeat buyers. PayPal is accepted for sample fees only. All payments go to the company account, and bank details are on the proforma invoice. For repeat orders we can agree open-account terms after three clean shipments.
5.4 Are there any hidden costs I should be aware of?
No hidden costs. The quote breaks down material, labour and packaging. The only items outside it are freight and any import duty in your country, which depend on your port and forwarder. Those are listed in the quote as exclusions so the landed cost is clear before you commit. Ask for the exclusion list and we will confirm it in writing before you order.
5.5 Can you help optimize costs without sacrificing quality?
Yes. Our engineers can suggest a lighter canvas weight, a stock sole instead of a custom mould, or a cheaper print method where it will not hurt how the shoe wears. We send a side-by-side sample so you can see the trade-off before choosing. Cost work happens at the material stage, not after sampling.
6.1 What are the typical lead times for bulk production of canvas shoes?
Bulk runs 45–60 days from deposit and sample sign-off. That covers material sourcing, cutting, stitching, vulcanizing, QC and packing. Peak season (March–June for summer canvas) can add a week, so book your slot three months ahead. We send a weekly schedule with photo updates at each milestone. Deposit and sample approval start the clock, not the inquiry date.
6.2 Can you arrange shipping to our warehouse in the US or Europe?
Yes. We ship FOB Xiamen as standard and can quote CIF or DDP. We work with your nominated forwarder or recommend one from our shortlist. Sea freight to EU and US ports runs 25–35 days; air freight is 5–8 days for urgent restocks. We handle the export documents either way.
6.3 How do you package the shoes for bulk shipment to prevent damage?
Individual shoe boxes with tissue and silica gel, 10 pairs per master carton, double-walled and moisture-lined for tropical routes. Cartons carry your marks and a packing list, and pallets are wrapped and strapped to your DC spec. We add moisture barriers where the destination is humid. We can also print your carton marks and barcode labels at the factory.
6.4 Do you provide marketing assets like photos or videos for our products?
Yes. On request our studio photographs your finished shoes on white and in context, and can shoot short video for your site and ads. You get high-resolution files licensed for your own marketing. This is usually requested alongside the first bulk order so the images match the production pair. Bulk-order clients get the first set of images at no extra cost.
6.5 What kind of ongoing support can we expect after the order is delivered?
Your export manager stays with you after delivery for reorders and new development. We track what sold and feed back colour and style suggestions for the next drop, so the follow-up canvas shoe order is closer to what your buyers ask for.
